A Cart Lodge designed to meet your needs.
We have built many Cart Lodges providing an extension to peoples homes.
From a home office to run your business, gym, games room and even a golf simulator room!
Also sheltered parking for cars, garden machinery or extra space for your favourite hobby.
We can design anything you require and build your Cart Lodge to suit your home.
Traditional Building Methods
Mortise and Tenon joints are used on all of our Oak Frames and supported with corner braces
(knees) to give the traditional look that will last a lifetime.
On all of our Cart Lodges we go the extra mile to be in keeping with the property's surroundings.
With period properties we often use reclaimed bricks and roof tiles so a new building can co-exist with the existing property without standing out.
Bricks, tiles and cladding are chosen by the customer.
We can finish your Cart Lodge by extending your driveway with new Edging Curbs, Shingle or Block Paving to give your property a magazine worthy appearance. Please ask for more details.
Secure roller doors can be fitted to protect your car. Designs may include wooden doors that can be secured with a padlock or high security roller doors as shown here.
Driveway block paving:
We can also do block paving to blend your driveway with your new Cart Lodge.
Common design elements
The back, sides and gables are cladded with 12mm ply, breathable membrane, 18mm baton and 7” weatherboard.
We can cater for every budget. The majority of our Cart Lodges are Oak fronted and have a 6x2 softwood back and sides. However we have built frames entirely out of oak which is a more expensive build.
Standard wooden doors are generally fitted with heavy duty, reversible metal hinges which really complement the oak.
We can use pan tiles, peg tiles or slate for the roof or using reclaimed tiles can give your property the weathered feel. We even used cedar shingles for one of our previous jobs!
All timber framework sits on 3 courses of 9” brickwork. Colour of mortar to match the house.
All of our buildings are equipped with guttering that runs into a specially built soak away dug underground 5 metres away from the building.
LED Lighting in the Soffit of your Cart Lodge can add a Great Design Element and Security Feature.
